Didim is a small town, a popular seaside holiday resort, and district of Aydın Province on the Aegean coast of western Turkey,. Didim is located 120 km (75 miles) from the provincial capital city of Aydın. Didim is the site of the antique city of Didyma with its ruined Temple of Apollo.

Highlights

In Didim you have bathing fun in a historically exciting environment

Didim is located north of Bodrum and is a family-oriented seaside resort on the Turkish Aegean Sea. Didim is especially known for its fantastic beaches which are long, gently sloping with crystal clear water. Since the bathing zones are completely closed for boats it’s very suitable for children and offers pure bathing pleasure during vacation time. Not far from the main beach you will find numerous other bays and beaches, which are also ideal for snorkeling.

Didim is not only known for its beautiful beaches, but also for its Appollon Temple, which was once almost declared the eighth wonder of the ancient world. This imposing and enchanting Hellenistic sanctuary in Ionic style is today one of the best preserved buildings of antiquity and fascinates every visitor.

Less frequented beaches are ones further from the centre, such as Haydar, along a dirt road around the shore of Akbük (meaning “white bay”).

Plenty of Greenary

There is a little park with needle trees between our house and the beach. Yesilkent – as the name indicates – has lots of greenary.
